Fridays Boracay was established in 1982 and is the first and pioneer AAA luxury resort in the island. Fridays Boracay rests at the northern end of the world famous white powder sand beach.
AMENITIES
Friday's Resort is a self-contained 34-room (soon to be 40-room once the new 6 rooms would be completed) resort with fresh water swimming pool, beachfront bar, and 120-seat capacity restaurant considered by many to be the finest on the island.
THE RESTAURANT
Our restaurant is famous for its delicious food of original salads, succulent paninis, oversized sandwiches, crusty pizza, creamy risotto, famous pastas, day-fresh seafood and tender and tasty steaks. This summer and at least until June, our Chef is cooking some original food specials: Fresh Goose liver (Foie Gras), Duck Breast (Magret de Canard), Ostrich Steak, Lamb shank, Sea Bass and Chicken roulade. All breads, cakes and pastries are baked in-house by our internationally trained Pastry Chef.
ROOMS
The rooms are in a garden setting arranged around a beach courtyard and the swimming pool. All rooms are distinctly native with Filipino styling - quaint yet with modern conveniences like split-type airconditioning, hot & cold potable water, DVDs, cable TV, IDD & NDD telephone, fully stocked mini bar, deluxe guestroom amenities, abaca slippers, evening turn-down services, native hammocks and private verandah.
A typical Premiere room comes with king size bed, either one or two single day or massage beds, large screen (27-inch) television, bathrobes, welcome fruit baskets and complimentary tea and coffee service.
There are a total of 34 native cottage styled rooms with walls of woven bamboo ribbons, framed mats, thatch roofs, gleaming wooden floors. An additional 6 rooms are being built in the Treetops and are expected to be completed on September 2005. Located up the stairs from the swimming pool, these luxurious, circular rooms with an area of 55sqm has a private verandah, a very large bathroom with elegant bath tub and showers facing large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking lush tropical landscaping. These new villa rooms are superior compared to the present rooms of Fridays but have the same Fridays atmosphere and concept. From the 2 nd floor, guests will have splendid sea view overlooking the present rooms of Fridays. The rooms at the 2nd floor have a cathedral ceiling which makes it more elegant. Total land area of the resort is about one hectare.
VILLAS
In addition to the rooms in the resort, the company also manages a seven-room villa adjacent to its property. This villa has one premier and 6 deluxe rooms. Although smaller in room space, guests can still enjoy the same amenities and superb service in the villa. Three other private residences nearby are also available for the use of resort guests under special arrangement.
BEACHFRONT
The beachfront of the resort is considered to be one of the finest and cleanest of Boracay and shares the finest stretch of beachfront at the North end of White Beach . Fridays offers full service on the beach (towels, food and beverage). The beachfront serves also as a venue for weddings.
BUSINESS FACILITIES
While not a business hotel, the resort has facilities for small conferences for about 40 persons. Fridays was the first to offer Broadband Internet to its guests. Recently Fridays went even further by offering Wireless Internet access (WIFI) services not only in one hot spot but almost anywhere which includes - the beach, restaurant, swimming pool area, conference rooms and in most of the rooms verandas.
ACTIVITIES
The diving and water sports concessionaire has an in-house shop on the beachfront offering all diving courses. Water sport activities are booked through our Activities Officer (jet ski, para-sailing, banana boat, water ski, wind surfing, sailing, flying fish, mountain biking and many more. Golf can be arranged at the nearby Graham Marsh-designed 18 holes championship course.
RATES
Published deluxe room rate, single or double occupancy, inclusive of transfers to and from mainland, applicable government taxes, and service charge, is US$ 170 per night. There are no additional charges for maximum of two children below 12 sharing room without additional bed. All rooms have at least one additional single bed.
